**ONTARIO PROVINCIAL POLICE NEWS RELEASE**

 

On February 27, 2020, at approximately 10:17 a.m., members of the Matheson Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 11, in Benoit Township.

 

The investigation has revealed that a multi-vehicle collision occurred and that one person is deceased.

 

The deceased person was identified as Marcel PERREAULT, 42-years-old, of Timmins, Ontario.

 

The OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI), Collision Reconstructionists and Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) team, as well as the Cochrane District Emergency Medical Services (EMS), the Black River-Matheson Fire Department and the Timmins Fire Department assisted in this ongoing investigation.

 

The Highway reopened on February 28, 2020, at approximately 3:00 a.m.
