**CCHL NEWS RELEASE**

The Central Canada Hockey League is pleased to announce the sale and transfer of the Kanata Lasers Junior A Hockey Club from Cory Greer and Nick Urbisci to Jim Seyers and Ryan Leonard.

The club will relocate to Renfrew in the 2020-21 season and be known as the Renfrew Wolves.

“This represents full circle closure of the CCHL’s plan to expand from 10-12 teams and relocate two city based teams to outside markets,” said CCHL Commissioner Kevin Abrams. “This has been 12 years in the making after expansion to Kemptville and Carleton Place and relocation of Gloucester to Rockland.”

“Renfrew is a vibrant community that will embrace everything that CCHL hockey is about and I look forward to welcoming them to the world of Junior A hockey.  I would like to thank the Greer family for their commitment to the Lasers and the CCHL and welcome Jim Seyers and Ryan Leonard to our league,” Abrams added.

More information to come.

A press Conference will be held tonight to talk about the future of the Crunch and to formally inform the town of Cochrane about Leonard’s departure. The conference is open to the public and will begin at 7:45PM at the Tim Horton’s Event Center.
