**LAKE SHORE GOLD NEWS RELEASE**

Lake Shore Gold, a subsidiary of Pan American Silver understands that the onset of COVID-19 has increased the strain to many within our community. We are happy to provide help to those working the front lines as well as those who may be struggling through this difficult time.

The current meal and food programs are stressed and understanding that this may take time for the pandemic to pass, Lake Shore Gold would like to assist through a donation of $50,000. We would like to thank Cochrane DSSAB, the Timmins and Porcupine Food banks for their hard work and dedication to the community during these times.

We will also be donating $10,000 to the Timmins and District Hospital to assist with logistics surrounding COVID-19. We have enormous admiration and respect for the work the front line individuals are providing the community and hope that the donation can provide some much needed support.

Upon arrival, LSG has also committed the supply of 2500 N95 masks to the Community Emergency Management Coordinator for distribution to needed parties in our community.

“We had a Pandemic Planning Committee call last week, where our Executive team in Vancouver outlined a pool of committed funds to help our communities in this difficult time. Within 24 hours, we had approval to make this donation.” Said Marcel Cardinal, Director of Environment and Sustainability.

“Everyone understand the importance or working together during these unprecedented times, we hope that we are able to continue to help along the way.”

“The Cochrane DSSAB is grateful for this vital support from our valued community partner Lake Short Gold. The CDSSAB is coordinating food security initiatives in Timmins so that organizations and volunteers on the front line can focus on preparing and distributing food to those in need at this critical time.” – Brian Marks, CAO Cochrane DSSAB
