**CITY OF TIMMINS NEWS RELEASE**

The City of Timmins announces the reopening of City Hall effective June 10, 2020 for limited services only. Residents will be permitted to enter City Hall to make property tax payments or water bill payments or to make inquiries regarding those respective billings.

In an effort to continue to do our part in the fight against the Covid-19 virus, debit will be the only acceptable manner of payment for property taxes and/or water bills. Social distancing measures will be in place with only three (3) visitors permitted in the facility at one time. As such, visitors can expect that they will be asked to patiently wait outside until it is their turn to enter the facility.

Although health screening questions will not be asked, it is important to note that visitors will not be permitted to enter the facility if they show any symptoms related to COVID-19. Appropriate signage, floor markers and PPE will also be in place to protect visitors and staff.

All other services will continue to be delivered over the phone or electronically. City employees remain committed to offering centralized services through Service Timmins at:  – Online Citizen Service Centre: CLICK HERE – Phone: 705-264-1331 – After-hours emergencies: 705-264-1201

We thank you in advance for your patience and continued cooperation during this temporary situation and please stay safe. The health and safety of our community depends on you.
