**PORCUPINE HEALTH UNIT NEWS RELEASE**

There have been no new positive cases in the Porcupine Health Unit (PHU) area in the last 24 hours. The current number of confirmed positive cases is now 67, two of which remain active.

As we resume more of our daily activities, we all have a responsibility to work together to protect each other and stop the spread. Wear a cloth mask or face covering in public spaces, especially when physical distancing isn’t possible. Whether an infected person has symptoms or not, cloth masks can help to trap the COVID-19 virus and protect people around them. There are many types of masks available including cloth masks that can be washed and reused, disposable masks that can only be worn once and medical masks such as N95 respirators that should be reserved for front-line health care workers. To learn more about how to use a mask properly or how make a cloth mask, check out our video or this fact sheet.

Cloth masks should not replace other protective measures including physical distancing, hand washing, not touching your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands, self-monitoring for COVID-19 symptoms and staying home if you are sick. If you have any symptoms, call your health care provider or the health unit to arrange testing.

Our COVID-19 Information line is open today from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Call the toll-free number, 1-800-461-1818 or the PHU office in your community. See our office listings for local contact numbers.

Stay home if you have symptoms. Stay safe.
