Rush is certainly one of the most celebrated rock bands in history. Here are 6 more fun facts about legendary progressive rockers Rush.

1) Rush sometimes made up songs about crew members in their soundchecks.

2) Neil Peart would struggle to play older Rush songs during tours in his later years, because he had grown into an even BETTER drummer.

3) Peart wanted to turn 2012’s album Clockwork Angels into a movie.

4) Geddy Lee originally wanted to be a guitarist, but a basement band he was a part of back in the day told him that he had to replace their band’s bassist. He stuck with it because ‘nobody wanted to be a bass player’ and found it ironic.

5) Moving Pictures was released 4 days late partly because of the issues with the new technology Rush was using to record. It all came down to a faulty wire. This caused Rush to revert back to the manual ways they recorded their previous records.

6) Moving Pictures is one of 2 Rush albums in the list of 1001 Albums To Hear Before You Die  (2112 is the other one!)
