**PORCUPINE HEALTH UNIT NEWS RELEASE**

There have been no new positive cases in the Porcupine Health Unit (PHU) area since June 21, 2020. The current number of confirmed positive cases is now 67. No cases are currently active. Although we currently do not have any active cases within the PHU area, be aware that COVID-19 is still circulating across the province. The risk of being infected with COVID-19 is still present and we expect to see more cases.

To help protect everyone, the health unit is strongly recommending wearing a cloth mask when in public places, especially in places where physical distancing is challenging like the grocery store, pharmacies, and while using the transit. Whether an infected person has symptoms or not, cloth masks can help protect people around you. Wear your mask correctly. To learn more about how to use a mask properly or how to make a cloth mask, check out our video. Some people are unable to wear a mask or may choose not to wear a mask. In these cases, be kind and protect yourself by maintaining physical distancing.

To stop the spread, we all need to continue with measures like physical distancing, wearing a mask where physical distancing may be challenging, frequent handwashing and staying home when you have symptoms.

Our COVID-19 Information line is open today from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Call the toll-free number, 1-800-461-1818 or the PHU office in your community. See our office listings for local contact numbers.

Stay home if you have symptoms. Stay safe.
