**PORCUPINE HEALTH UNIT NEWS RELEASE**

There have been no new positive cases in the Porcupine Health Unit (PHU) area since June 21, 2020. The current number of confirmed positive cases is now 67. No cases are currently active. Although we currently do not have any active cases within the PHU area, be aware that COVID-19 is still circulating across the province. The risk of being infected with COVID-19 is still present and we expect to see more cases.

Summertime is a great time to de-clutter your home. If you’re thinking of hosting a yard sale there are a few precautions to keep in mind to protect yourself and others. Remember that only 10 people are permitted to gather. Host outside in the open air instead of in a garage, spread out your items in a way that allows a 2-metre space between people at most times, have disinfectant close by to clean frequently touched surfaces, have sanitizer available and use it after interactions and handling money, and wear a non-medical mask or face covering if physical distancing is a challenge. Find more information on yard sales, if you plan on attending yard sales and other summer activities on our website.

Anyone with symptoms, even if they are mild, or anyone who is concerned that they were exposed or at risk of exposure to COVID-19 should call their health care provider or the health unit to arrange testing at an Assessment Centre. Be sure and get tested.

Our COVID-19 Information line is open today from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Call the toll-free number, 1-800-461-1818 or the PHU office in your community. See our office listings for local contact numbers.

Stay home if you have symptoms. Stay safe.
