**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE**


The Timmins Police Service has completed its investigation into a fatal motor vehicle collision that occurred at approximately 10:35 p.m. on the evening of Sunday, June 28th which claimed the life of a male pedestrian.
The investigation has culminated with the driver, Yvette MORIN, 67, of Timmins being charged with:
– Careless Driving – Cause Bodily Harm or Death contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
MORIN has been served with a Summons requiring that she attend Provincial Court in Timmins on October 8th to answer to the charge laid against her.
The collision occurred at the intersection of Cedar Street and Algonquin Blvd where the driver was operating an SUV owned by a local commercial enterprise that struck the pedestrian as he was crossing the street and later died in hospital as a result of the injuries he sustained.
The deceased has been positively identified as Lyle FOSTER, 53, of Timmins.
The comprehensive investigation into the collision was a collaborative effort, managed by the Timmins Police Service – Traffic Section, working in conjunction with the Timmins Police – Forensic Identification Unit and Criminal Investigations officers
