**PORCUPINE HEALTH UNIT NEWS RELEASE**

The Porcupine Health Unit (PHU) is reporting one new COVID-19 case among residents
in the health unit area.

This individual became infected and was tested on September 14, 2020 and remains in
self-isolation outside the PHU region. Following provincial protocol, cases are reported
and attributed to the health unit they reside in permanently.

If you think you may have COVID-19 symptoms or have been in close contact with
someone who has it, first self-isolate and seek testing through one of the assessment
centres across Ontario (https://covid-19.ontario.ca/assessment-centre-locations/).

You can also call the Porcupine Health Unit at 705-267-1181 or toll-free at 1-800-461-1818.
Take preventive measures to reduce the spread: physical distancing — keeping at least 2
metres or 6 feet distance — between yourself and others. Everyone, not just travellers,
please stay home if you’re feeling ill.

Even if this feels like just a cold. You can help keep someone else from getting more seriously ill.
Visit Ontario’s website to learn more about how the province continues to protect
Ontarians from COVID-19.
