What began as a passion project for KISS frontman Paul Stanley has become a new musical direction for Starchild. SOUL STATION is a 15 piece ensemble band of exceptional talent that has toured with Stanley in the United States and Japan. With Stanley at the helm, they have put together nine classic R&B soul songs and five original songs in a debut album called Now And Then.

Paul Stanley began the SOUL STATION project as a way to pay tribute to the R&B artists that influenced him and his successful career in the music industry. Compared to KISS, SOUL STATION is the polar opposite of the rock anthems that Stanley is known for. The songs of Now And Then are super smooth, sultry, soothing, and melt your tension as you’re taken into a different world than what Starchild himself is used to, rather paying homage to his roots while showcasing another side of his talent to his KISS fans.

There has already been a sneak peak of what to expect from this album with the beautiful and ethereal version of “Ooo Baby Baby” originally by Smokey Robinson & The Miracles. Stanley said of this song choice, “These are challenging times…While it’s hard to connect physically, some of Soul Station decided to reach out and make a virtual and emotional connection on a great Motown and Smokey Robinson classic, Ooo Baby Baby.” It hits you in all the right places, with Paul Stanley positively shining while flexing is vocal chords.
