After Joe Biden’s inauguration yesterday (January 20th, 2021) making him the 46th president of the United States, a live TV virtual event took place to mark the occasion called ‘Celebrating America’. This event was a way to encourage Americans that with everything that has happened, they are all ultimately better fighting together instead of fighting each other.

Special musical guests joined in the festivities as well, with Bruce Springsteen kicking it off with his 1999 ‘Land Of Hope and Dreams’ at the Lincoln Memorial, saying that he was, “…Proud to be here in cold Washington D.C. tonight…I wanna offer this small prayer for our country.” Who better to start the party than the Boss? Watch his powerful acoustic performance below.

Naturally the Foo Fighters chose a very fitting song for their ‘Celebrating America’ performance, and Dave Grohl dedicated the performance to the hard working teachers of America saying, “To teachers everywhere, Thank You. This is in your honor.”

Also surprising the crowd watching the live virtual event was the disbanded New Radicals. They reunited for the first time in 22 years to perform their 1998 hit “You Get What You Give”. They still got it!

All around it was truly a beautiful and encouraging event for Americans. Here’s looking forward.
