Over the weekend, Metallica had to postpone their second show in Phoenix due to frontman James Hetfield testing positive for Covid.

They broke the news on social media with a picture of a Covid test and wrote: “Unfortunately, COVID has caught up with James.”

The band is currently on a two year trek in support of the album, 72 Seasons, released this spring. Each weekend stop features a second concert performance called No Repeat Weekend. It includes a different set list and supporting acts each night.

Metallica reportedly cut their show on Friday short by two songs, due to James’ “vocal issues”.
