The numbers have been crunched, and the Timmins Festivals and Events Committee says “Rock on the River” showed a profit for their organization.

While no numbers were specified on that front, they state in a release that they saw a 15% increase to attendance in 2017.

As well, they mention the new additions to the festival experience, such as a kids zone and a side stage for local bands to showcase their talent.

That’s not all. The 50/50 ticket sales saw over $2,000 donated to Timmins’ Northeastern Ontario Roller Derby Team and over $25,000 donated to local food banks with Vets Taxi’s “Nobody Gets Left Out In The Cold” program.

All proceeds from this year’s event will go towards their 2018 slate of events.

T-FEC’s first fundraising event goes October 14th. And while no other details are known, the release says this event will be “a twist on an old classic.”
