New gas station approved for Algonquin

Despite council’s environmental concerns, officials are moving ahead on a gas station/convenience store on Algonquin.

City council unanimously voted for a site-plan control agreement for the land across from Western Auto Sales.

It was mentioned during the meeting that no environmental testing was conducted.

The property has been worked on by AML Holdings the last couple years.

No word on when construction will begin.
